2021 Election Results
The 2021 election is now complete! The Hall of Merit welcomes 2021 inductees Kenny Lofton, Johan Santana, and Jeff Kent!
Kenny Lofton's well-rounded career was 2021's top vote getter, gaining entry in his 9th year of eligibility, becoming the 30th CF in the HOM.
Johan Santana sold voters on his monstrous peak, gaining entry in his 4th year of eligibility, becoming the 74th SP in the HOM.
Jeff Kent and his historic power hitting among 2B gain entry in his 9th year of eligibility, becoming the 24th 2B in the HOM.
This election went as I predicted. Lofton and Santana were the top two returners from last year's election, Sosa was third and Kent was fourth. Bobby Abreu through Ben Taylor will represent the top 10 returning players in next year's election. Tim Hudson was the top newcomer, debuting at #19 on the ballot. 95 different players received votes.
