Carlos Beltrán's all-around excellence got him elected on his first HOM ballot.

Lance Berkman's potent hitting earned him a spot in the HOM on his 5th year.

Bobby Bonds waited a long time to emerge from a cadre of corner outfield candidates, earning his spot in the HOM on his 37th chance.

This election went largely as expected. Beltrán easily paced all candidates in his debut with Berkman grabbing second place.  The third spot had a handful of possible options, Bobby Bonds among them.  He ended up edging out fellow top contender Buddy Bell by a slim margin.  Bell to Rizzuto are next year's top 10 returning candidates.  101 different players received votes in this election.
