2022 Inductees
Alex Rodríguez was an all-time inner-circle talent who left no question about his entry to the HOM on his first try.
Sammy Sosa's monstrous power could not be denied any longer, making his way to the HOM in his 10th year.
Bobby Abreu's well-rounded contributions made him the second-leading candidate, gaining entry in his 3rd year of eligibility.
Andy Pettitte's consistency and postseason contributions added up to a HOM career, and he gets into the HOM after his 4th year on the ballot.
This election once again went (nearly) as I predicted. Rodríguez was an easy call, and Abreu was a safe bet, and I also predicted Pettitte would gain entry. However, when push came to shove, I hedged my bets and said the fourth spot was a coin flip between Sosa and David Ortiz, and wrongly said if I had to choose it would be Ortiz. Lance Berkman through Tommy John will represent the top 10 returning players in next year's election. 92 different players received votes.
